I have a theory that tastes change approx. every 7 years. When I was 7, I started to hate almost everything. When I was 14, I became a vegetarian. When I was 21, I gave up all attempts to be a vegetarian. In the past year, I have started to like and enjoy a lot of things I though I didn't: beets, goat cheese, tofu, peppermint.
How about YOU?

Beets, although never really a *dislike* per say, have become something I really, really enjoy. And I learned to love goat cheese a couple of years ago. Now there's really only three things left on the strongly dislike list: alcohol (but I think that one is slowly changing), raw bell peppers (I think this one might not still be true, but I never remember to test it out), and cilantro (there's some sort of genetic component to this, supposedly [http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=98695984]; so there's probably no hope).

Welcome to the other side, my friend. In the South during the summer there is nothing better than scoring a home grown super acidic tomato that's blemished and ugly as hell but so good. Mmmm. Tomatoes.
